De Kastro’s inspirations are vast and eclectic—classicism, romantic landscapes, cyberpunk dystopias, and the stark intensity of comics all intertwine in his nightmarish compositions. His process is almost ritualistic, driven by an eco-sociological unease that seeps from his subconscious. "Hellish nightmares," as he calls them, dictate the course of his obsessive hachures and meticulous renderings.
