Francisco José de Goya y Lucientes 1746 – 1828 was a master Spanish romantic painter and printmaker. He is widely considered one of the most important Spanish artists and portraitists of all time.

Goya's portraits of the Spanish Court take on a lavish virtuoso style that reflects the court's great wealth. While his later paintings and drawings often focused on the degradation of the human figure and horrors of war. Often seen as an old master and one of the first contemporary artists, Goya's work spans time periods.

Please note: The painter died in 1828, so his work is in the public domain in its country of origin and other countries and areas where the copyright term is the author's life plus 100 years or less.
