Since I was a child, in the 70s, I have been haunted by hellish nightmares where my Lisbon is a world of shadows from a nuclear Apocalypse - caused by Man to himself. These infected dreams - now also with Brazil, where I spent 16 years of my drifted life - persist until this very day, but they are so vivid that I feel as if I have been in that forgotten future before.
Seen from below towards above, Christ the Redeemer rises at the peak of the World, profaned by sinister ducts that look like metal roots from an apocalyptic industrial nightmare. These tubes transport the oil that still comes from the ravaged shore of ancient Rio de Janeiro, which keeps the great flames emanating from each of the monolith's hands, like an immense savior lighthouse for the remaining lost souls on this Earth.
There are only two hypotheses: Either men destroy all nuclear weapons or the bombs destroy Humankind.
