Dream States

Self-taught Norwegian Artist Henrik Uldalen’s works are studies in contrast and medium. His thick oil paintings paintings are composed of dream-like figures that seem to melt into the darkened expansive void. Uldalen conveys a sense of misanthropy and somber reflection on the state of our being, ever trapped between opposites. Using oil paint, Uldalen creates with extreme dark and light contrasts that give a surreal ethereal quality to his work. Below are some of our favorites.
